Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) originated in China over 2,500 years ago. It is the oldest surviving medical system in the world. It produces results by stimulating the natural defenses of the body with acupuncture, the use of herbs, and many other modalities such as Gua Sha, Cupping, Moxibustion, and Tun-Na. TCM promotes self-healing and has produced been effective for thousands of years. TCM is considered the safest, most effective form of natural medicine today. If you are suffering from chronic conditions, have complex medical problems, or have attempted other treatments unsuccessfully, TCM may be the answer for you.
ABOUT DOCTOR
Dr. Hui-Li (Theresa) Yuan, DACM, AP, RN, Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
Dr. Yuan obtained her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2020 after graduating from Florida College of Integrative Medicine in 2018 with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. She graduated at the top of her class from both programs and was the recipient of the prestigious Trudy McAlister Scholarship Award in both 2017 and 2018.
Dr. Yuan began her career in nursing, receiving her BSN from Kaohsiung Medical University and worked as a nursing instructor in Taiwan before moving to the United States. She has her RN licenses in both Florida and Texas, has worked in nursing homes and PCUs, and volunteered with hospice.
Dr. Yuan is a board-certified Acupuncture Physician with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a member of Florida State Oriental Medical Association and Acupuncturists Without Boarders.
Dr. Yuan lives with her husband and has two grown sons, one of them was recently married and living with his beautiful wife in the Tampa Bay area.
Mission and Vision:
Dr. Yuan treats her patients with a parent’s heart. She goes above and beyond to address each patient’s health imbalance and healing process. Combining Western and Eastern Medicine philosophies, she uses the Holistic Healing System to determine the etiology and pathology of illnesses, creating an individual treatment plan for each patient with a wide range of knowledge from her continued studies. Dr. Yuan deeply believes in Mind-Body-Spirit healing from the cellular level up.
Her vision is to bring acupuncture and oriental medicine to retirement centers, nursing homes, veterans, and residents in the community in the spirit of compassion and service. Our neighbors, elderly, and injured heroes can get the direct, holistic, and integrative care in their familiar environment. Life is a full circle journey; no one should suffer from pain during their journey of life. Her goal is to help her patients achieve a healthy, balanced, and happy life – Bring Harmony to Your Life!
